@MeBigbrain @WashedOutGundamPilot Would caution that people with "life experience" in the current year are, as a general rule, fucking degenerates. People do real work instead of bullshit make-work for a reason, and it's usually more antisocial tendencies than a desire to have a tangible job.

I have met precious few journeymen electricians past the age of 40 that are worth a shit. The guys that don't have serious flaws get their masters license and open their own shops, are appointed foreman/superintendent, or are desk jockeys by that age.
