You didn’t miss out on much outside of some creature comforts. I always thought all branches could retire out after 20.

Right now, people are coming back to their roots and getting away from the machine. I’ve talked to guys all over that also heavily discourage military or police with their children. It’s a different world, and we need to take care of our families and communities and figure the rest out in time.
