It has nothing to do with money, and there are plenty of examples of this stuff being done despite it generating no revenue or even hurting sales. There's no evidence that putting ugly women in your game increases sales, plenty of cases where this shit causes the opposite in movies.
It was never, ever about making more money, and they will continue to do it no matter how much money they lose because they have to.
