     @nach @sjw @shibao Over time some compounds get hard and slippery though, if it’s a shitty old tire. Best to keep it somewhat fresh so the moment you DO have to call upon 100% of its surface area it can give you some performance

     @sjw @nach @shibao You aren’t having enough fun then. Go explore a bit, find some abandoned car park and do some impromptu slaloms to keep your skills up on the way home, find a good spot of empty roadway and figure out a mini ghymkana course that lets you nail a few leans to retain the feel of it

     you can hoon under the banner of ‘safety’

     @shibao @WashedOutGundamPilot @nach @shibao depending on where you ride, that can be unavoidable. I did a lot of highway and interstate riding so my tyre looked similar. Doesn't mean I wasn't willing to lean into turns when the opportunity presented itself tho. I just didn't get a whole lot of opportunities. Not a lot of twisties around here, sadly.
