     @PunishedD @nugger 30s of every stripe are a little deeper and buzzier, with a more ripply signature to them. Smaller 22s are more bee-like

     ITS NOT AN ENTIRELY TRIVIAL QUESTION, WITHOUT THE SUPERSONIC CRACK YOU DO HEAR THE WHISTLING OF THE BULLET GEOMETRY CUTTING THROUGH THE AIR, THERE ARE CIVIL WAR ERA ACCOUNTS OF PEOPLE DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN RIFLES BEING FIRED ON THEM BY THAT DIFFERENT TIMBRE
     BUT ITS ALMOST, ALMOST A TRIVIAL QUESTION BECAUSE THAT SUPERSONIC CRACK IS A GOOD 90% OF THE GUNSHOTS SOUND SIGNATURE, AND THE CYCLING OF THE ACTION IS ANOTHER 3%, AND SOUND AT THE MUZZLE WHICH IS A SUPPRESSOR PROBLEM IS A GOOD 6.9%

     @nugger I dunno, but according to this very scientific video of Youtubers getting shot at, different subsonic rounds sound very different from each other. Presumably there's something specific to the .300 you might prefer. youtube.com/watch?v=54UPMgSWHzU

     @PunishedD @nugger I'm just speaking from experience, that's the pattern I noticed but I don't know what the breadth of diff. cals was. Haven't had subs around me, but close in with the right can it sounds like chopping wood depending on what you're shooting into

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @nugger Skip to 10:00, they shoot 300 blackout at 100 meters. You basically can't hear it, but the 8.6 after it is zippy.
