     @nameredacted @Heil_Honkler @boburtle IDK what the check process is for controllers but there's a whole lot of variation in the early series of flight tests. If you hire some slacker boomer, he can go easy on you and sign you off (and leave you forever scared that he'll be caught and then you'll have to retest and do it all again with someone stricter)

     Plenty of stories around where girls are allowed to skate by. Seems like everyone my age sees it a lot, our our dads generation act like it's impossible for the ladies to get special treatment. Maybe back in the 90s they DID have to meet the standard, but I've seen how "oh shit we can't fail her only 12% of our class is female we need her to graduate or we get in trouble for sexism" works IRL

I suspect that cattle car normie air transit won't be a thing in 50 years, once the boomers are gone they'll demonize it and make it so future people balk at the idea the proletariat felt entitled to emit 2 tons of carbon for a vacation whenever they want.

     Industry strongly reinforced business/private flights in lockdowns, and they're aggressively hocking net zero shit so the gulf between the haves and 'nots' will grow to the point the industry happily downsizes. You'll have short hop battery/hydrogen powered flights but those international tickets will be much more precious.

     Still many variables in play though, hopefully I'm totally off and h2 manages to keep things afloat

Even the little guys are getting financially ruined by offshore production incompetence, and they haven't once mentioned bringing it all back home like it used to be.

     1. Gaslighting public that the better past was a myth and in actuality we were far worse off due to primitive and archaic beliefs and practices.
     
     2. Privatization will be strong and small for the well connected and the well resourced. Encourages the idea that wealthy entrepreneurs will eventually all leave America for the third world, or China.
     
     3. Technology for the common person would stagnate or decline, but have more buzzword check boxes. Hydrogen and battery powered air travel sounds like an explosive calling.
