     @DW2 Federal tax revenue was down in December so it'd make sense that it was down in the states too. Unlike the Feds though, states cannot bully the Fed into buying their debt. Also, watch the whole "unfunded mandate" argument from the '90s come roaring back as states short on cash realize they cannot pay for what DC ordered them to.

     @DW2 They can cut benefits to old people, since that demographic is mostly White. Or cut money for infrastructure in rural, White areas. And close some more hospitals there, too.
     
     So many options to fuck over White people. Never let a good budget crisis go to waste...

     @caekislove @Evil_Bender @DW2 You can guarantee that "border money" in the proposed spending bill is nothing but bailout money to blue-states who are putting up invaders the regime let in. Also Medicaid is a big "titty" as the regime covers 60% of the program's costs. There's been proposals to lower the reimbursement rates to states but, this is key, there is not one state in the union whose budget would not blow up if that happened.
