@coolboymew I gave up on LRG because their shipping times are out of control. They still estimate shipping at 4-6 months, but almost everything is taking 10 - 14 months. I still have two outstanding orders with them from the first half of last year.
@camedei456@Lumeinshin they were mostly shit in the beginning because they were releasing really garbo indie games, but it was understandable, gotta start somewhere, but now they're releasing scam low effort collections, not much better
Meanwhile Strictly Limited Games has released a Wonder Boy Collection with 6 games totalling 23 versions, japanese versions, etc... While LRG releases Bill & Ted's terrible GB and NES game while also ignoring the Lynx and AMI, C64, PC versions
... While Strictly Limited Games releases Ninja Jajamaru collection, including totally new localized games (there's a zelda like and a JRPG) and it includes the new game by City Connection
... While LRG keeps milking shitty Sega CD FMV games
@coolboymew Yeah, I'm not ordering anything new from them .. I think I have one pending order ..and when that comes in I'm done.. There's too many other alternatives these days to .. .strictlylimited, pixnlove, redartgames, signatureeditiongames, premiumeditiongames, superraregames, etc etc
@coolboymew@Lumeinshin You're forgetting a few thing >blacklisting customers for chargebacks >Including a lawsuit waiver and a promise to communicate in English in their terms of service >scalping copies on eBay early >allowing "trusted partners" to buy in early first and guarantee them copies >a partnership with Best Buy for print runs that will usually rot on shelves, ultimately being packed with older consoles to move 'em >banning a rando on social media over a Revenge of the Bird King meme >nepotistic business involving Revenge of the Bird King and developer Joe's relationship with LRG >PC games are mostly keys on a card, evidenced by Among Us >original publisher may just release a superior (and occasionally meatier) version physically shortly after Limited Run releases their print >customer service so poor that international delivery is a pipe dream, deliveries are usually damaged and media-mailer boxes are separately sold with small product hauls
