I'm so glad that I'm living though yet another once-in-a-lifetime economic catastrophe
-
@Shadowman311 even funnier.
now that those ships are avoiding the suez and sail all the way around afrika, the fucking somali pirates have started attacking them.
so far they took 3 oil tankers.
the lightbulb heads are nothing compared to the huti military, but its still funny how global shipping gets fucked no matter what they do.

@Some_German_Guy @Shadowman311 @deprecated_ii assuming this is true, I’ve heard that only some countries allow armed guards, so for legal reasons, it’s complicated to have them for international shipping. In theory the US is supposed to handle all of this anyway, so the question is, “where are they?”
-
@Griffith @Shadowman311 @Some_German_Guy @deprecated_ii most of the armed guards toss their weapons before leaving international waters, simply because the paperwork to take even personal arms from one country to another is too much and guns are a small part of the expense of a merc overall
-
@Some_German_Guy @Shadowman311 they could try defending themselves instead of surrendering to any retard pirate who shows up waving a rifle
but they won't

@deprecated_ii @Shadowman311 i wonder if it is because security would be to expensive, or because the un would interpret armed guards as international weapon smuggling.
