@fantasia@threat Did you look at the plugins? I don't think twitter would have one, but I won't rule it out. Omegle used to have one (which was probably also Eion Robb's doing).
@threat@fantasia Anyway, my point stands: Contribute plugins to libpurple, or something similar (it's not the only one out there AFAIK) instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with javascript. Or write clients using those interfaces.
(I have seen criticisms of libpurple that seemed reasonable enough, and I accidentally ended up working on a similar thing which I'm calling chatlib, but that's python so I don't really recommend it.)
@fantasia@threat Discord one may or may not get your account banned (but it's dicksore so nothing of value is lost), and both of them will frequently cause pidgin to suffer if you're in more than a handful of rooms/guilds. I don't know about other libpurple clients, the only other one I've used is finch, and that's basically just whenever I manage to crash x.
