     I think this is just an attitude born of contrarianism. Cavalry went away, battleships went away, and there's no reason we should think 70 ton chobham battlebricks are immune to this possibility.

     the reason tanks are struggling right now is they were essentially static for forty years, and this generation was never seriously tested in the first place. countermeasures don't pop into existence overnight
