     I don’t disagree, was the basic point. I just disagree w/ the bapist ideology when it’s used as a cope, which is what I see IRL. I don’t mind diversity in the ideological spectrum but I’d rather everyone here pump out 5 white sons, since they’re far more likely to be yamnayan warlords than we are.

     Every time I get back to my home field and see the fuel truck kid asking if I read bronze age mindset I’m bummed, because it seems like a palliative thing he tells himself to sit in place and spin his wheels forever. “I’m not a careerless, stagnating loser! I’m actually a warlord in waiting, once everything crumbles you’ll see I’m actually a man of history!”

     I do disagree w/ the idea that fatherhood precludes action, though. People have a gay idea of what it means - I grew up doing adventures w/ mine even as a tiny kid, it’s part of why I seemed old all my life. You can still follow your dreams and sail across the pacific with the family in tow

     There aren’t many ways to risk your skin in a way that matters, though. Everyone acts like this historic fulcrum is sitting on the table for us to impose our will on history, but nobody really has that much reach in reality.

     The most epochal, timeline-shifting act anyone can reliably do is have a family. One man can become 25 in just 3 generations, how is that NOT greater than…..well what’s the historic alternative? It’s not like anyone here is wrangling a beerhall putsch out of the cards we’re dealt. All we have is larping, speaking, posting to a tiny audience of people who can’t do shit to really change the world. Most of us ain’t too close to the levers of power, and nobody ever talks about getting any closer to them to begin with.

     Hell, once the lights go out they’ll be telling you that “the old days were different, if you had ideas you could build a following around the world! In the old system I’d really BE someone!!!!”
