     @nugger I unironically came close to buying one a few years back as a fuck off bears while hiking rifle cause they are so light and small but then pistol braces came out and just got a 11inch ar upper.

     @nugger I have a real soft spot for kel tec shit. I love my sub2000 and I enjoy they actually make something novel instead of here's an ar 15 and glock clone like all other companies now.

     @TalmudTranslator @nugger Everyone else just looks at what the aftermarket is selling, then starts integrating it into their guns. Continues to rankle how people are so ungrateful for the ONLY company going off the beaten path at all. Everyone else gave up years ago

     @deprecated_ii @TalmudTranslator @nugger Yeah, that’s because it sells, man. It’s not vaporware because they don’t sit on the shelf long.

     The Sub2k was one of the biggest sellers at my buddy’s shop for a while, took about 5 years of availability for the RDB/RFB to be able to even keep them on the shelf more than a day or two. Last time I talked to him he said the survival version is now the hard one to keep around. Been a long time since I talked to him, but it’s not like he was getting a trickle of them. They were up there w/ the 6920s, flying out the door the second he put them out.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @TalmudTranslator @nugger 🙄 I've been buying guns for almost 20 years and used to go to gun shops a couple times a week. I've bought a shitload of guns including some pretty rare stuff. I've never once had the *opportunity* to buy a Kel Tec anything. Not so much as a P3AT.
     
     Maybe they finally unfucked themselves in the last few years but Kel Tec, for most of its existence, has been a design shop that can't produce anything in volume.

     THE BURN CAUSED HIM TO SWEAR OFF OUTSOURCING ANY MANUFACTURE, SO ALL KELTEC GUNS ARE MADE BY THEM IN HOUSE, ON THEIR VERY LIMITED MANUFACTURING CAPACITIES
