   @kkarhan @GreenSkyOverMe @rahmstorf not only. They also use lower grade coal that we've stopped using because it's too dirty. They could reduce emissions but it would mean being more selective about the kinds of things they burn for energy. Modern coal plants can burn more of the waste gases too. I also think they have pretty lax restrictions on things like trash burning.

China emits the most carbon dioxide of any country in the world. But it is installing more renewable energy generation than the rest of the world combined.
