    @mer @coolboymew you're right, on the cheaper ones the back of your neck sticks to the plastic and sweats. I mostly use it while doing cardio, makes a huge difference. neck is pretty much the best place for it. i wish a company would invent well designed and tested watercooled shorts and a vest that can keep your crotch and armpits cool, with a peltier radiator or battery compressor that can get rid of heat, with exchangeable battery packs like on cordless drills. can reverse it in winter. Imagine a wearable AC but with good insulation.

      @mer @coolboymew few people know this, but the benefit of living in colder climates is that your body heals faster. this is why having cold showers or even ice baths is so beneficial. inflammation and fungal/viral infection as well as parasites thrive in warmer than normal body temperatures. heat also allows cancer to thrive. heat is the enemy. you also think far more clearly in lower temperatures. heat makes you dumb. It is beneficial to lower your core body temperature as low as possible. it also boosts metabolism and forces your body to burn energy to heat itself. drinking ice water has a massive metabolism gain.

      This was like $6 at a fair in rural Kentucky.

      It's deep fried spiral-sliced potatoes with liquid cheese product, pulled pork, and barbecue sauce. About 9 inches tall.
