@idea_enjoyer Always seemed apparent to me that the Lord doesn’t like the extinction of the faithful. The idea that such thoughts never entered mainstream popularity until the majority of the land is effectively atheist should be telling, but…. cowardly boomers and fem-lackeys just leap at the chance to hand over their church to Satan

Having sampled a lot of the protestant sphere (less so the catholic one, only been to mass a couple times) there’s a critical problem with cowardice.
Fearful people are so, so eager to believe that there’s this lovely turn where worldly social mores are now aligning themselves with good christian morality. How wonderful it is that disney, nike, harvard university, the federal government, etc all decided to halt the march of evil and dedicate themselves to helping us live a more righteous life! Surely self-destructive kindness is the highest virtue!
Ugh….someday I’ll have to outline my thoughts on this weird cult of martyrdom, because I see it in so many places. The younger ortho guys at least don’t have it, but the prots are rife with this desire to die for the cause instead of fight for it. It’s like these fools think it’s a free pass to heaven.

Well to do Western Christians, Roman Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox, have the same issue where the Gospel of Christ is supplanted by the gospel of nice.
Pastors should be working against this and reorienting their congregations to care for the people they live with, but there's a very real danger of being knifed in the back, since niceness has become and idol just the same as loving the stranger more than your brother. I still remember the moment I dared to say to a collection of pastors "it's great that you're converting immigrants who come here, but what about the Anglo-Australians that are already here?".
I cannot wait for Western Christianity to rediscover the theology of the cross first-hand.Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

They’re the only ones that will even raise an eyebrow at this stuff….and without a lady there pushing them to shut up and get along

SapientPearwood (sapientpearwood@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Thursday, 20-Jul-2023 21:36:29 JST SapientPearwood It seems to be a huge issue on almost all denominations with the exception of the Baptists, although they have almost been co-opted at this point too judging by the last Baptist conventions votes, and a few of the smaller more crazy denominations like Nazarines. For instance, the United Methodist church just voted to allow trannies and faggot pastors along with doing tranny and faggot marriages amongst other absolutely hypocritical and anti-Christian things. It's not going to stop there though, the seeds have already been sewn in the Catholic and other orthodox churches. I hope and pray they are more resistant to it than the protestant denominations were.
One thing I've noticed living in the South. You stand a better chance of finding a based in the Bible, and not one based on secular progressive beliefs, church if you look for one that isn't part of any conference. The smaller independent churches seem to have a much better understanding of the Bible, what is and isn't acceptable, and hold the line against secular degeneracy whereas the churches that are part of a bigger group, like United Methodists and many others, have fallen quickly to it.Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -
SapientPearwood (sapientpearwood@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Thursday, 20-Jul-2023 21:43:34 JST SapientPearwood Agreed. It truly seems like the younger generation is less likely to just sit by and let stuff go on around them. I believe part if it is thanks to them not living as cushy of a life as their parents have, hell none of them can even afford their own houses and barely make enough to buy groceries. From what I've seen so far it's the extremely comfortable Boomers and Gen X that are willing to let this crap go until it reaches critical mass. Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -
Victor (victor@crucible.world)'s status on Thursday, 20-Jul-2023 22:11:51 JST Victor @Crux_Invictus @WashedOutGundamPilot @idea_enjoyer Big church is big business, and they don't make more money from winning over the people in their own congregations who are already paying tithes. That's why they focus so much on outreach to the detriment of "inreach," and the salt gradually loses its saltiness. Cynical, yes, but true. Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -
