     @apropos @weaf It’s interesting because they’ve acted like we have plenty stocked up, that any concerns about munition stocks were just silly. But now they just admit that the pantry really IS empty and they’re gonna have to hand out their ‘war crime munitions’ (that I’m pretty sure were supposed to have been defused and destroyed, unless that was just the other signatories) instead.

     It’s irritating to see because of all the hand-wringing over the russkies using them last year. It was upheld as a red line, a crime, and now they’re just doing it without acknowledging their stance like we didn’t have to sit through all those gay school fundraisers about cluster bombs land mines in asia & africa.

     @weaf what's the "even though" about? Nobody's arguing that the US doesn't have a really lame reason to distribute BANNED clusterbombs. It's not even a faux pas for Biden to come out with the reason this time. People generally expect some kind of reason for actions. "I stabbed the old lady to get her money so that I could eat with it." is a reason for stabbing an old lady which won't much impress someone saying that you shouldn't stab old ladies.

     Russia got their hands on a stinger in 2022 and sent it to be reverse engineered in Iran. Stinger missiles. You know. The handheld missile developed in 1967.

Your human quality is in tremendous decline and none of this addresses that. The army of 2050 will be dumber, more fractional, an ineffective than anyone can adequately imagine today, a body of three dozen squabbling, resentful ethnicities vying for dominance against one another. The nifty tech doesn’t make them effective, cohesive, or dominant ‘warfighters’.

     I fly with “really good” female pilots all the time, I don’t care how fancy the F35 is if they’re the one’s on the stick - it’s not as effective IRL as it is in your projections. We’re all lucky none of this will really ever matter, the rubber probably won’t ever meet the road to see the slapfight between retards that would be the US v. china or russia

     They’d turn their nose up at wasting 20 hours a week watching games and reading about players’ careers, but dress the same thing up as world events and now they’re “keeping tabs” on very important IRL things.
