     I literally only ended up into computers because it was the shit lying around the house and she wouldn't get me into learning to play musical instruments or art or working on some old car or anything of that nature but we had the old PC and a internet connection. Essentially she was a proto tablet parent.

     @PurpCat @blaaablaaaa @synapsid @deprecated_ii I regularly tousle w/ the women in the family because I push their kids to do diff. stuff when they come over. I give them work to do before we play, and their millennial moms will chastise me because “they’re kids! Let them play”. Nevermind the fact some of the older cousins are teenage boys at this point, those mofos are dying to haul some hay and feel strong for a while.

     I think it’s just a natural thing, mom will always push for comfort and safety, it’s dad’s job to crack out of that shell and push you to explore bounds and frontiers for yourself
