But the heavy handed moderation on /pol/ and other 'affiliated' boards made it feel like someone got put in charge of global moderation that actively hated the users and controversial topics. More so than the usual mod spergs anyways. It was more of a feeling than an actual known thing, at the time. 'Five guys burgers and fries' Being effectively cleaned off the site was the straw that broke the camel's back for many people, and facilitated the largest migrations away from 4chan.

  There was one post during the golden days (pre NZ) of KF saying everyone here basically came from the other shitposting sites

  It's even worse. There was a meme on Telegram by Telegram users that essentially stated that using Telegram either means you end up becoming a radical political terrorist or furry. Before it was wignats, it was ISIS and then on the other hand, furries got addicted to Telegram like crack cocaine.
  
  Moderating a Telegram group and trying to "keep the peace" was a fun ride. I got to see on one hand edgelords posting their gore folder, and on the other hand a furry having a breakup and posting videos of himself smashing his room and crying like "YOU MADE ME DO THIS".
