     @BowsacNoodle Literally just had a very welthy old guy telling me all about watching miyazaki movies because his jap trophy wife is showing him anime.

     It’s pretty bizarre getting anime recommendations from both the boomers AND the zoomers at work

     @BowsacNoodle @Bead @WashedOutGundamPilot If they're REALLY young, and you just want exposure to the Japanese language, consider looking into NHK children's programming. Admittedly I have no idea where you'd even find it. Youtube maybe? Some NHK webpages are also behind a VPN requirement.

     @BowsacNoodle @WashedOutGundamPilot How young are we talking? Also does it have to be strictly anime? There was a Japanese children's show a buncha years back that was absolutely fantastic called Pitagora Suitchi that was just these fifteen minutes educational shorts with a lot of really cool visual stuff presented in a very easy to understand manner. The eponymous Pythagora Switch was an elaborate machine built to end each episode. Very fun and the kind of stuff to keep kids interested while filling their heads with good stuff.

     @Bead @WashedOutGundamPilot I don't want surprise booba or gratuitous violence. Somebody can get stabbed without it being the end of the world, but I don't want them to see gore and dismemberment.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Miyazaki makes some good stuff. I was thinking Princess Mononoke for the older ones but the amount of gore and such is just way too high.
