     There's a white trash neighbor like that, definitely radicalized by rap music and endless propaganda who is always up to something. The people at that house finally had to lay low after finding out that multiple neighbors were trying to call the cops on them. Once he accused me of calling the cops on him and messing with him, the next day someone else (inside or outside his house) called the cops on him. Recently I saw the cops paying that house another visit too. There's always everything from shouting to loud stereos going on at that house, and only when they realized that nobody in the neighborhood would put up with their shit did they finally tone it down.
     
     We also have a politically correct slang term for those places: "rental homes". Those homes can be spotted by looking trashier than the neighbors, and always being a revolving door of shitty neighbors, drug deals, girlfriend drama, and whatnot.

     It is what it is. Though america has always been too big to be anything like europe, even if we were still majority white you’d see similar expansion because people like having room to breathe, it would have been pretty rural out in the western half of the country. Only the euro immigrants were ever content to hang out in dumbbell tenements, they just love that verminous urban vibe.

     @Leaflord @synapsid @Riamu Also notable that some states out in the west, particularly the desert shitholes, got a real odd injection of people in the post war era. Military bases and airfields dot the landscape, so there was a lot of development in the barren wastes to take advantage of them once they started coming out free to municipalities.

     Add in the post-war glut of combat trained pilots and you had a short span where a whole lot of people actually had a pretty thriving community of commuting by plane. IIRC they made like 10,000 cubs from 46 to 49, and that’s on top of their mountain of surplus L4’s. Now, suburbs have expanded to enclose all those fields, but it’s always surprising to see how densely packed our airfield network is.

     90% of people in the country have a small airport within 30 minutes of them, most of the time well-kept, paved, and provisioned. Once they get all these little whirlybirds going, you’re gonna see a whole new frontier of commuting

     @Riamu @Leaflord @synapsid Yeah, but see my post last night - the industry is going to be dying for new blood, and there’s a wave of development that could bring costs down to a large extent. We already have people building EAB’s with full battery power, if you can get costs down to $40/hr you’d be able to fill seats w/ flight sim gamers pretty easily.

     Not to mention all the multirotors that are on the horizon, already going through certification and they see entry into service by 2026 in most cases. Those will do a lot to shake up the industry from its stagnation.

     @Riamu @Leaflord @synapsid I think the AAM field is going to explode, solely because the costs of diversity on the ground are too high. Plenty of retarded jetpack projects, but these things will be like uber, you hail it from your phone and make a quick hop over terrestrial traffic and land on your building. They’ll be quieter, less scary than helos so the roastocracy will allow them (it’s ‘sustainable!’ unlike those helicopters) to land in more locations.

     Maybe they’ll use these for time building for the kids bound for airlines, doesn’t seem like they’ll sack up and get rid of the retarded 1,500 hr rule any time soon, those gay families keep whining and sobbing anytime the specter arises

Used to be quite common even in suburbia that everyone would walk a couple blocks to whatever chapel was close by.

You guys always act like america was made for cities when we have a century of spoke & hub development for wagon trains and rail lines out west. Most of the country’s land mass was never really given to huge metro development, there was no need for it unless you had to be near the coast for industry. Everywhere else people spread out.

     It’s not like we were all huddled in the shadow of multistory buildings until the Model T let us move, there were entire towns built around the trickle of economic flow from travelers passing through. Every time I’ve looked down I see a whole lot of the country looks more like this than the city. It’s just a racial thing, there’s a subtype of american who’s always been given to this kind of life, and another that hates it.

     Even when things were nigger-free my ancestors took a look around with a grimace and said “yeah….this is cool and all but we’re gonna head on out. Have fun with this city livin’”

     The problem isn't single family houses with lawns; the problem is the lack of civic communal spaces because of niggers. You can have your white picket fence house and your market square, these aren't mutually exclusive.
     Tbh suburbia is a cope for the hideous decisions America made post Civil-war to not remove the nigger and become a truly cultured people. Car exclusive developments can't give you places like this. Remove the niggers and kikes and build places of beauty that is worth caring about.

Traditionally, bodies of water have been what determined where settlements formed, but in the US, trains started to fufill this purpose and the success or failure of a settlement could be entirely dependent on there being a train station or not. Ethnic enclaves are usually associated with the city, but you also have so many rural communities because some group immigrated and settled there by chance centuries ago. There's this place called the Texas-German belt because in the 1800s they tried to form a colony in the Republic of Texas. You can also find a lot of pockets of croats, which I think is related to the oil boom.
