     The key to having a good "thought terminating Cliché" is for it to roll off the tongue. "longhouse" is short and is a very damming accusation. Meanwhile "lightswitch brain" comes across as being someone high off their own farts and is posturing over being more well read on a subject.

     @dharmadudebro @ArdainianRight “Longhouse” sucks because it’s not self-apparent, you have to be inducted into its meaning with a historic lesson. It’s kind of caught on, but it’s too opaque to have legs to get out in wider culture. It’ll age and die off as a minor niche reference and then dwindle to be used solely by guys who were 15-35 when it got popular. It’s a fad.

     Most guys using it IRL can hardly explain it to me anyways, they say “it’s like, when women are in charge”. I heard it for more than a year before someone had an explanation of it.

     “Lightswitch brain” is higher quality because you can intuit the meaning on its face much easier. Not very catchy, but clear at least. That’s what helps things spread, lets outsiders hear it and reflexively say “ah, that’s good. Never thought of it like that.”

     @DEERBLOOD @dharmadudebro @ArdainianRight I came to really hate “the longhouse” after hearing it from many BAP-listeners at work. I tend to have a thing where I don’t go out and look for new info to define a fresh subculture thing, I like forming my own idea of it organically to see what it appears to be without the rigid definition.

     To date, I haven’t had a single IRL guy explain it to me beyond vague “it’s like, when women run everything” mush. The only reason I DID find out what it meant - after about 1-3 years of it being in common online lexicon to the point I hear it at work - was because someone sent me a substack from a few months back. If it weren’t for that I’d STILL be in the dark. (I know, I could look it up myself but I like forming my own ideas, particularly when it’s a subcultural ideology thingy like this. It’s telling to me that the people saying it can’t explain the precept.)

     @dharmadudebro @DEERBLOOD @ArdainianRight …… hasn’t been my experience IRL man. The ones I hear it from are low-quality followers, only about 20% better than andrew tate followers. They just have this very hodgepodge ideology that they’ve picked up from figureheads like BAP without ever having the mental computing power to figure it out beyond surface-level, shallow tweets.

     For every one guy who uses “the longhouse” to correctly describe a societal microcosm, 5 weed-scented baggage handlers are using it to describe their fat manager when she tells them to show up to work sober

     “man moldbug is super super smart, whenever I look at transsexuals, child molesters, blackmailing israelis, bankers, and decrepit HR drones running the show I’m struck by how it’s all so catholic, ya know? Very, very smart man. SUPER trustworthy.“

     The next morning one of them tried to take me aside and tell me that “actually those things aren’t catholic at all, they’re actually jewish” and it’s just another brick in the edifice of my mounting horror that our younger generations of dissidents are extreme social inepts.

     While I’m thinking of other successful ones, “roastie” comes to mind. People hear it and chuckle because they put together the context cues. “eggless” was a thing for a bit, too. Oddly, “incel” wasn’t a good one, but it ended up in the common lexicon because of the constant media drumbeat obsessing over them.

     I’m not too familiar with the podcasters but I’d near guarantee their time of coining terms is done, they’ve settled into their existing fanbase of aging millennials to start the languid audience death spiral inherent to most online creators. Can’t kickstart lingo effectively with that base.

     @DEERBLOOD @dharmadudebro @ArdainianRight I was a little too overt about it, TBH. It was just a genuine moment of anger that these guys in their early 20’s think they’ve got it all figured out, only to start showing me a crayon map of the world shockingly bereft of jewish influence.

     It was dumb of me, but I guess I can lose my temper once in a while, too. There’s always the concern that all those guys now have that nugget on me that they could trade later on. Who knows if we’ll ever get to the “naming names” part of the revolution, but I’m trying to keep things lined up regardless.

     One of the less enjoyable aspects of flying w/ guys is that we’re effectively locked in a tiny box with a stranger for 10 hours at a time. You gotta sit there and make conversation, tiptoe around landmines, smile, and nod until you climb up the ranks. I’m actually grumpier about the pan-RW convos because it’s more aggravating having to listen to partial truths interspersed with convenient liberalism

     I thought of a roastie as being a woman that has been "roasted" by too many guys, like an overcooked meal. Burnt and wrinkled and gross. It cooked too long and is no good anymore.
     
     If you can't get the gist of a term from the word alone than it is no good.
