      @poastoak @deesenaughts @coolboymew Someone told me about his ‘piss theory’ once and it’s applicable to most things that people think they enjoy.

      They’re thirsty, they know their body needs water, but everything that’s on the market is just a different mix of piss. At BEST they’ve been able to try something that was an 80/30% distillation. They know it was better than the rest, but having never once had pure, 100% water they don’t even know what a ‘good’ drink would even taste like. So they keep buying new ones, and they’re always 30/70 or 10/90%, always more and more urine in them than before. But they’re holding out hope that another one will magically show up and be that really ‘tasty’ 80% water again.

      Add in the fact that people just keep returning to the old dopamine trough without realizing they’re older. You lose that youthful energy and excitement when you age. Most don’t realize it, they simply think everything is awful today because their body doesn’t GUSH with hormones at the simplest things like it used to at 15. That’s why old men will sit and listen to the same 300-song library for 65 years without batting an eye.
