Then again my professional frens bitch when walmart monkeys screw up their $90,000 RS so who knows what’s going on w/ them

d (deprecated_ii@poa.st)'s status on Thursday, 27-Apr-2023 08:50:10 JST d @WashedOutGundamPilot @professionalbigot69 I almost never make decisions by that method for two reasons.
1. Never in my life have I been in a situation where doing my own work instead of paying someone else to do it meant *not* doing paid work. Vanishingly few jobs allow you to work as many paid hours as you want.
2. I care a lot more about the quality of work done on my own equipment or property than someone else does. I'm not changing the oil myself to save $5, I'm doing it so I know exactly what goes in the engine, and so some wrench monkey doesn't fuck up my car. -

Makes it a lot easier to decide where to spend your time when it’s so compartmentalized.
Most jobs aren’t that way though
