She’s definitely very calm about this despite that having very serious repercussions. I don’t think most women understand how dangerous car fires can be or what they can turn into. I don’t think most people do.
@Owl@BigTLarrity@StoleMyThundersBalls > Be me driving to my parents house with the wife and kids > Be wife "Circus what does this little flap by the blinkers do? I pressed it the other day and the car got angry." > "What do you mean 'got angry'?" > "Well it said Vrrrrroooooooom! and I don't think it liked it. I pushed it again to undo it but it liked that even less and said VVVVRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOM!"
Holy fucking shit bros, to them it's just a magical black box that goes places... and to think we have let them take over academia.
@Owl@StoleMyThundersBalls@BigTLarrity I don’t know how you can screw up like this when the information on how to do it correctly is.. RIGHT THERE ON HER PHONE. SHE CAN LOOK IT UP.
“Oh wow I’m very uncertain about doing X thing that could be dangerous. I will look it up to make sure I do it right.”
@lichelordgodfrey@Owl@StoleMyThundersBalls@BigTLarrity I'm pretty sure it's positive on the receiving car, positive on the donor car, negative on the receiving car, ground (or negative) on the donor car but I always pull out my phone and ask google assistant just to make sure I don't fuck it up.
On a bunch of cars there's specific jump points too, like if the battery is trunk mounted. Notably European cars and cars with batteries mounted in shitty spots like the Dodge Journey (literally in the bumper).
