   been having a lot of stomach problems lately but i dont think enough to justify shelling out the money to go to the doctor

     meanwhile over here in the UK, you have to wait months or even years to get any actual treatment

     It's absolutely absymal in the UK -- My father caught cancer and it took them years to diagnose the problem, only for them to tell him that he should have come years before for a diagnosis (which he did, but all the specialist referral appointments kept getting delayed and taking years), they said it was too late, the cancer is too far and it's terminal. He died in terrible pain.

     Before. He passed away during COVID, but he was diagnosed years prior and had nothing to do with COVID.

     jesus fucking christ. was this before, during or after the initial COVID lockdowns? I remember that was a notable factor with cancer deaths in recent years.
