   There are too many trannies I've seen on the internet who don't want to call attention to them being trannies, who aren't political about it and are generally alright to make me want to join the anti-troon brigade. I don't think society should encourage trannyism, and the vast majority of them are unfortunately twisted demonic predators, but some are just hormonally imbalanced nerds, and I don't hate the latter category. this has been my sensible centrist take on this hot button issue, thank you for your understanding

     @augustus imo a very large portion of trans predators aren't even trans, or at least wouldn't be considered trans by the standards of, say, 10 years ago. Most of the recent pedophilia scandals were drag queens, who should have never been considered trans, because they're literally just misogynistic men who dress up as grotesque parodies of women for fetish reasons. Drag queens would, in any sane world, be considered transphobic caricatures, but for whatever reason they've been made the face of transexuality. The complete removal of any form of gatekeeping in the trans community, and its push to accept anyone remotely gender nonconforming as "trans", has been a complete disaster.

     @PhenomX6 @Alex furries are a great example, those guys are total fucking degens but they keep to themselves mostly and have been totally ignored by the political class at large. just imagine the world where Biden is talking about oppression against Furry Americans, you'd get "brave" celebs coming out as furries, and a 2000% increase in self identifying furries

     @augustus I'm probably a centrist too, but I do have to remind myself that there are still some normal trans people and even they are concerned with how things have gone. Especially when it comes to what is happening to minors. Taking puberty blockers makes it harder to transition with surgery for trans women. Also, the dating scene is not great for trans people and their safety because of the predators out there, some who will encourage them to transition but drop them if things go wrong with it. Or the general dating problems.

     Okay let me tell you a little secret: a lot of people do it because their internet buddies got validation for doing so from each other and the system.
     
     They don't have gender dysphoria, they have a lack of friends and support from their family/the school system/the websites that replaced Tumblr.
     
     They learn the hard way later there's no refunds and the only way out is to hope reincarnation is real as you pull the trigger in a grocery store parking lot.
