     @ringo @caekislove @parker @crunklord420 @nekofag worse a pc98 clone (that's literally what this hence the Epson chips).
     
     I'm sure the guy who got it was trying to repair it. I've had pc98s with trashed cases in them that work too. Namely my 9821an that has some rust on ports. This model is also worth like $100-150 working give or take.

     @ringo @caekislove @crunklord420 @nekofag @parker also hardware wise these computers aren't normal x86 they're weirder.
     
     Imagine there's a company (nec) who has a monopoly on x86 computers and the same company who has the balls to do shit like "cloning and selling third party accessories as official printers" (Epson ecotank existed as third party upgrade kits for years and ditto with the f170/f570 after a popular mod for the printers) decides to clone the companies computers. Nec sues and it doesn't end too favorably for nec as despite Epson having to pay nec iirc because the original roms weren't clean room, Epson was able to sell a clean roomed pc98 clone and nec was pissed.
     
     I'm talking they did petty shit like locking down their version of dos to check to be sure it was on a nec machine and running ads advertising their pc98 machines as genuine because they couldn't stop Epson, only scare others into not cloning.
