     A lot of that has to do with improper connector installation, such as the computer case putting pressure on the cables on the back of the male side, reducing contact area for the pins. Also when it's not inserted completely.
     
     This is mostly not a problem when you have a properly sized case.

     @WhiskeyBent @tyler @waltercool The hardware isn't much better these days. I've been after a new video card.
     
     Both the 4080 and 4090 have problems overheating and melting.
