BroDrillard (brodrillard@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Jan-2025 12:33:40 JST BroDrillard I 'member even back in 2020 some people talked about the connection between banking problems and the conveniently timed "virus". But those noises quieted down over time.
I doubt the "galvanizing public against Iran" part in #2 will work. Too many people are now questioning 9/11. And after the farce of the Jan 6 "insurrection", not even boomercons are buying these psyops. Jews overplayed their hand IMO.Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -
d (deprecated_ii@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Jan-2025 12:33:40 JST d @BroDrillard @anonaccount Israel can't invade Iran in the first place. it's 1000 miles away with nothing but indian country in between. they don't have the personnel, vehicles, or expertise for such a campaign
the US would also have a very difficult time with IranWoggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -
Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks (washedoutgundampilot@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Jan-2025 12:35:54 JST Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks @anonaccount I remember this take, it's fun but a bit oversimplified to pretend the USA is going to pull out of this flat spin by retvrning to the "Arsenal of Democracy" economy. It simply ain't in us.
This plan sounds like your buddy at chili's, three beers deep, telling you "I could TOTALLY nail a standing backflip, I did it back in 5th grade like it was nothin" (He cannot, in fact, do a backflip)

and if that doesn't work there's always black girl magic™ in the command staff, that never fails

BroDrillard (brodrillard@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Jan-2025 15:29:51 JST BroDrillard Didn't ask how many there are on paper. First of all, only about a third of those is mission capable at any given time. Second, having a plane is not the same as being able to afford to lose it. If you lose them in Iran, what do you do when the Chinese waltz into Taiwan? Armories are pretty depleted already because a bunch of stuff was given to the Ukraine and the Russians have blown it up. Lose some more in Iran and you have no power projection capability left. -
BroDrillard (brodrillard@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Jan-2025 15:29:52 JST BroDrillard Can it outperform the S-300s and 400s? How many downed F-35s can the US afford? -
gentoobro (gentoobro@shitpost.cloud)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Jan-2025 15:29:52 JST gentoobro About 450.

The US would have a difficult time with Iran...unless.
Unless the Amerifats could set up a FOB in Syria, erm, I mean Greater Israel. The F35 sux, but it can still outperform antique Tomcats.
We don't have to "win" a war with Iran per se, but we can fuck up their infrastructure until they're crippled.

Wolfgirl in Wheatfield (wgiwf@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Jan-2025 15:30:11 JST Wolfgirl in Wheatfield @BroDrillard @anonaccount @deprecated_ii @pepsi_man @gentoobro The political cost of losing a squadron of F35s is far heavier than the material/projection cost. There is no war spirit left in the tank anymore.
