They've been pushing back on that even. I'm like 3 subcontractors deep, and I was supposedly brought in to automate the process, but then one person started whining about not seeing immediate progress same day and they sat my ass down at a phone and gave me a list of 300 people, 90% of which don't answer the phone.
So our plan was to develop the solution behind their back and say "Look, unless we can get calls down to around 45 seconds each, including the time spent getting the user on the phone, convincing them we aren't scammers, getting them to open a web browser, telling them to type in a certain site, dealing with them getting typosquatted and hit with malware, remoting into their machine which may have 4GB of RAM and a spinning disk drive installed, and etc..... Then you will be spending 10x the money on an automation engineer to do basic bitch intern shit. Your choice."
