Find a cause you are trying to erase (replacing old guard that's less interested in left-liberal politics than a different core belief), personalize it with an easy target (RMS and his very obvious autism), and hammer hammer hammer at that target until people get tired of hearing about him, newcomers believe the Big Lie, they get too overwhelmed playing defense to actually make good on their beliefs, or they quit entirely due to the stress you put them under. It's a horrible behavior.
