     @givenup @pyrate @Terry If our own lakes growing up havne't changed much then finding a rickety, busted old houseboat on the cheap should still be viable.

     Seemed like I was always daydreaming about scrounging up the money to get one and use as a cool lakeside clubhouse

     @givenup @catmanmancat @Terry Seems like every direct sale of a plane is always accompanied by the wife telling him "if you buy this damn thing you got to sell the boat"

     I'd bet most of them are the same: Buy a nice boat telling yourself you'll go all the time, it will drastically improve life, then you get tired fo the hassle, cost of parking it on the water so you keep it in the yard, then it's a cycle of decreasing use...
