     They tried that, it was called "boys town" and turned into a major center of child abuse.
     
     I do think communities should bring back boy scouts and girl guides, but do without the big national governing body because it'll immediately get infiltrated.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @Eiregoat A nationalized boy scout program would go a long way to solve the fatherless crisis. It would also ensure that single mothers (the vast, overwhelming majority of which are terrible people) can be safely ostracized without negatively impacting her kids.

     Ok, but we have to get there first.
     
     Don't forget that the soil the NSDAP grew in was a huge network of volkist, wandervogel and freikorps groups which had already been independently formed by locals. Starting decentralised in small trusted groups works.

     I'll give it a read now. I read the one you just posted and it touches on my main bone of contention with natsocs: They're usually hyper focussed on building an all powerful structure but they don't seem to have any plan for what's supposed to happen if it turns on their descendents a few generations later.
     
     The founding of the US had a lot of fatal flaws, but I think one of the things they got right was acknowledging that they instutions they were building would eventually turn rotten and driving the meme hard into everyone's brain that they had the right and duty to overthrow them.
     
     It does make life a little harder for the feds when one of the core cultural foundations of the institutions they infected is "it's cool to rope corrupt politicians."

     Hitler talks about this in Mien Kampf and I am pretty sure he says exactly the opposite thing.

     What does he say specifically? I still haven't gotten around to reading the whole thing.
     
     I know all of those groups existed in the interwar period and they were the main focus of german patriotism during that time, basically a refuge for everyone rejecting weimarhomo. I assumed they were the natural recruiting ground for NSDAP but I could be wrong.

     Well he writes like 20+ pages on the concept each time he talks about it and he talks about it multiple times so it's hard to summarize but essentially:
     
     In order for a political ideology to be successful it must have it's own "world concept"; an idea that explains how the world works and informs how the world should be made to work. This "world concept" needs to offer something new that old and competing new world concepts do not offer in order for it to have a chance of success.
     
     This world concept must be treated by the members of the ideology as absolute and undeniable truth. The masses respect strength of conviction and certainty above all else. Merging with competing organizations is a death sentence as this muddies the ideology via compromise.
     
     
     There's a lot more and I'll try to find the part where he outlines the structure of the early NSDAP and why he structured it that way because his own words are better than my summary, but it's a long book lol.
