   Everything I hear about this ending makes it seem like the utter capstone of a westaboo's career imitating progressive liberal pop culture goyslop. The messaging throughout the series always had such a strange japwriter-wants-to-appeal-to-USA-NPR-Listeners vibe,
   
   At the end of this poor kid's grand struggle is that he ends up ruining his life and getting NOTHING out of the deal but a lifelong addiction to vicodin and a lonely existence reminiscing about how much he peaked in high school. Literal suicide track, he's stuck teaching in there so all he can think about is the good old days while he watches everyone move on to fruitful, successful lives.

     • He never got any interest from the ladies, friendzoned in every aspect so badly he never seemed to have a single inkling of sexual arousal

     -Friends and comrades all move on with life, go out and live their dream career as famous heroes while he sits as a teacher (jp respects this but in reality it sucks)

     • He has no life, no father, no friends after all this suffering and strife, he is immediately forgotten by the population, becomes a "huh remember that guy whatever happened to him?"

     The family kids have been arguing about this non-stop and it's odd how it breaks along the girls/boys. The boys see it as a struggle that is unappreciated, pointless in the end for HIM. They say it would have been much better for deku to have died in the finale, because the life they wrote for him is way bleaker. Cyberpunk had it right, more emotionally affecting but proper.

     The girls think it's good because there's plenty of room to ship characters with that ending: They did an 8-year timeskip so they're "relationship age" and they can have everyone gay out together

     @dankumimusu And I've literally watched maybe 5 episodes of this show, my entire body of knowledge comes from listening to teenagers update me on what's happening, so it's very fun to see it in memes

     Disappointing, that demon slayer show has it right: Happy, a reward for the struggle, a family, and descendants who revere your name and carry your soul with them forever

     @Witch_Hunter_Siegfired @dankumimusu I'm probably not the guy to REALLY deep dive, since I've never watched any of these shows. I've been keeping my finger on the pulse though, I like the memes and I take great interest in the cultural effects of these shows.

     I'm basically the go/no-go adult in the family who okays media. When the other normie parents ask me what's appropriate I give them an idea of whether something is worthy of allowing or not. I've warned them about the girls going down the femgooner fujoshi track because of the heroaca fandom, but for the boys it was great in the beginning. I'm actually glad to see them hate the ending, means they think critically about it

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @dankumimusu I never followed MHA and only look at it for the lulz, but in general I think endings are a problem with all JP media. It's as if they've all been thought this template in school and now they linger too long on the adjourning phase. The same applies to Demon Slayer, that story should've ended with the big bad's death, no need to portray all characters in a peaceful future, that part is implied and should be left to the reader's imagination.

     @marlin @dankumimusu No way, that's one of the best parts about it. The theme throughout is about family ties and bonds traversing the ages beyond your death. It's a wonderful thing to plant in kids' minds that they have duties to those who come after them.

     Pretty much.
     
     While nowhere near as bad, the stuff ONE ( One Punch Man, Psycho Mob 100 ) makes also had this same tone, and he too wrote a whole story imitating western super heroes.
     
     He basically ends every single arc of his stories with "...and in the end nothing really matters, isn't that funny ?"

     All the Complaints I see are:

     It sucks to not get a paring after 430 chapters so i get why ppl are upset about it.

     Teaching is probably the most important and time consuming job you can have and him teaching the new generation heroes suits him a lot.

     the world doesn't need OFA anymore since AFO is gone so it makes sense he lost it here.
     
     >And had scheduling conflicts with his old friends from HS cause things got busy
     
     Literally the most realistic thing to happen to a HS graduate. Old friends get busy and dont have much time to spare. Picking up the pieces from the war and starting businesses and hero work. And it didnt say they never hang out. Just that its tough to plan get togethers, which again, is understandable.
     
     I dunno it could've been better with the Ochaco ship but otherwise people are killing me with the cuck jokes :zt_laugh:

     Anyone who watched the entire thing deserves the ending, it was clear from the get go that it wasn't going nowhere and when the hallmark ideologies of the west (faggots and perverts) took interest in it, that was the red flag for anyone with half a brain to jump ship...

Stain was a pretty well known one (a vigilante anyways) and by all means he nominally dealt with most of his opponents with natural skill since his power was fairly limited up until he actually landed a strike in the first place. Not having powers is a setback but it's not a career ender especially for someone who started off the first half of his time as a hero as someone who largely couldn't use his powers anyways.
