   @dushman @kirby @raccoon @BrodieOnLinux @Zergling_man Pretty sure you need to keep speech in the yellow and the ambient noise out of the green. It's hard because I either have ambient noise or voice too low on the cardioid condenser mic. Offset from directly speaking into it because I need to use computer assesories and webcam needs to run the facial tracking software and mics get in the way.
   No, preamps are too expensive for me atm.

I'm using a fairly cheap USB condenser mic and it works perfect.

     vtube, needs face and mic, mic too close to face to pick up voice camera has to work around the mic being in the way. Mic too far away mic needs to be more sensitive and picks up ambient noise, now lips go flap flap with PC noise. I somehow get it to work but my problem seems to be OBS and not the mic setup (last stream I did japanese dude said my mic does not work before leaving, so clueless as to what troubleshooting steps to do). OBS recordings work fine.
     now that I think about it, the Yellow I was thinking about was in OBS, you need it there or you practically need to yell in the mic. Excuse me, I got Mumble and OBS mixed up.
     On related note, has any Voice chat software ever used insert effect plugins natively in their software before? like simple saturator?

     I recommend rnnoise for global noise suppression. Great algo.

     Just use global mic fx to get that and noise supression then and disable it in mumble
