Spingebill (spingebill@poa.st)'s status on Monday, 20-May-2024 00:58:10 JST Spingebill @WashedOutGundamPilot @JoePrich I now understand why the gun control psyops have basically stopped entirely: The spooks figured out that guntards are extremely easy to subvert with NAFO-like stuff and pose no actual threat to them Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

Guns are expensive once you get into it deeper than a surface level. That means anyone invested in gun control outcomes is better seen as an investor in firearms than a potential target.
Investors have something to lose, they keep their nose clean.
Ergo, all they have to do is provide some fig leaf of legal rationale every time they slaughter some particular enemy, and wait for the next generation to slip in gun ownership percentages. The 'have's will tsk-tsk at every state-sponsored killing because the victim fell afoul of the rules, and the feds can rest easy knowing none of the guys they raid will actually put up much resistance

Ame (americanchampion@poa.st)'s status on Tuesday, 21-May-2024 06:27:30 JST Ame @WashedOutGundamPilot @Spingebill @JoePrich I think this is biased sampling. We see lots of cringe on the internet, but 42 percent of the U.S. owns at least one gun - it's not just the handful of autistic fudds who are still allowed on mainstream social media. This isn't like, a small class of enforcers who can be bribed, intimidated, infiltrated, or subverted. It's just every other house on the block, biased towards the less compliant on average. The terror raids against random old guys aren't something normal people hear about, it's largely just catharsis for the FBI freaks carrying them out, with a side goal of intimidating the people who do stay up to date on that sort of thing.
When the BLM riots were going on, people made sure they didn't get into the suburbs. White people don't do stupid shit like the nogs do, in general, not just because they know the government would not treat them the same way, but because there's no real value in it. When it's necessary, though, the normal people get together and sort things out. -

We're very lucky in some ways they stepped back from the brink, either scared or understanding.
But gun owners are insanely, outlandishly law abiding compared to any other hobby. You don't see the old weed growers tweeting the ATF on each other
