Something about that new duolicious app just doesnt sit right with me. For over 6 months theyve been posting daily advertisements using danbo on 4chan costing at minimum 50$ a day and now all of the sudden within the past week almost every chat circle I am in everyone is talking about it. I aint no schizo but this seems like a major honeypot. -

I cannot overstate how fascinating this is as a feat of coding, optimization, etc. This game has over 70 unique enemies and fits in around 63 kilobytes. To put into comparison pokemon red takes up 1 megabyte (1,000kilobytes) and something like the pokemon diamond and pearl remakes takes up around 7gb (or 7,000,000kb). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IIg-prpV4M -

I'll share more this weekends stream but after finding out that my fbus cable literally just needed a piece of plastic removed out the end my phone literally just decided to show up. With that I was able to successfully transfer over MDoom. Both its optimized and unoptimized versions work but there is a drastic difference in "gameplay" if you can even call it that. https://social.076.moe/url/1590281 -

Another thing I just gotta throw out to the ether is why the fuck do wifi cards still have long legal notes about reverse engineering/decompiling their code? Like maybe I can see with gpus considering how competitive the field is but wifi cards? Even back in the day people just went for shitty mid range netgear adapters. At the end of the day theyre a little generic microcontroller with a bit of custom code added to distinguish itself as needing a specific driver. Idk. -

Cathode Ray Dude may be the best example of a giga cucked youtuber I swear to God. Let me get out of the way that his content is pretty interesting and I do watch a good amount of it but theres moments where he gives some of the shittiest takes ever imaginable. I still remember the time where he started defending the replacement of using the coding term "slave' for a solid 2 minutes but what I saw today took the cake. 20 full minutes of him being an apologist for UEFI. Yes that program supported by microsoft made to stomp out linux users.

Ive been using devuan and a lot of other non systemd distros for a long time now and its actually given me time to test base debian again...especially since it still allows for the freedom to choose your init (despite it being systemd by default) and the installer is gross at times. One instance is a menu where it asks to gather your personal install data. It is nice that by default opt out of that but it still installs the anonymous usage model -

I wanted to attach an image to this post but unfourtonately the lcd decided to crap out on my nokia 3100. After some late night searching I found a port of Doom made for 128x128 screens. Its less doom and a reskinned version of the gameboy classic faceball 2000 but nevertheless an amazing feat of optimization. Its essentially mdoom made by the amazing jshape. An early 2000s j2me developer that pushed the early hardware so hard he even managed to make webcam monitors and video playback programs accessible to these early low powered phones (the webcam feature was even previewed on a greyscale nokia). This version of mdoom however was even more optimized for the early devices replacing the walls with what appear to be vectors rather than jshapes textures. Ill archive it tonight with its original release too cause its quite fascinating...though again theres also other interesting feats too id say are even more advanced like monkikis castle. Though this is one guy rather than a full team -

Still won't switch to bsd....they're too much of simps for macos. Its far better to find or use a systemd free distro like artix or parabola. I'd reccommend void too but they seem way too invested in politics and are purposefully unhelpful on their forums -

With spinning disk hard drives, yeah that'd be no problem. But ssds? From what I have seen when data is gone on an ssd its like gone gone. -

I really don't see what content creators see in Kick. They won't accept emails that aren't hosted by large companies and ask for phone numbers and they have a user agent detector built into their site that'll deny your access to playing back content if they don't deem it worthy. Its a platform that is nothing more than twitch in its premature state before it was overcorpratized
