Ive been using devuan and a lot of other non systemd distros for a long time now and its actually given me time to test base debian again...especially since it still allows for the freedom to choose your init (despite it being systemd by default) and the installer is gross at times. One instance is a menu where it asks to gather your personal install data. It is nice that by default opt out of that but it still installs the anonymous usage model
