@pomstan I'm saying that Mitra uses custom logic when it serves web client, so you theory about actix and default handler is probably not correct.
I don't know why it doesn't serve your static files without adding trailing slash. The configuration example works for me and apparently for everyone else too.

@jeff The first graph (servers) actually shows a thriving and healthy ecosystem where the process of diversification is still ongoing.
The second (MAUs) shows a stable ecosystem, also a good sign. These people won't suddenly disappear. But it also shows saturation, so to increase MAUs some innovation will be needed (and I don't think it will come from Mastodon)

@sadiedoreen It works quite well, ActivityPub can tolerate increased latency. However, federation between clearnet and I2P instances requires additional configuration on the clearnet side, so I2P network remains very small (but we have ideas how to fix that).

There is a small community of people who run onion and i2p fediverse instances. What kind of collaboration with core is possible, or needed?

@mikedev FEP-ef61 'ap' URLs are not valid URIs according to RFC-3986, because in URIs ":" is used as a delimiter between host and port components. However, many other characters are allowed. For example, this is a valid URI:

Apparently did;key;z6MkvUie7gDQugJmyDQQPhMCCBfKJo7aGvzQYF2BqvFvdwx6 is a valid host.

DIDs can be also percent-encoded.

I don't think we need to change anything now, but this is something to be aware of (and something FEP-ef61 implementers might demand in the future)

proof.@context can be omitted, but then it also shouldn't be used during "Create Proof" step. The spec doesn't mention this option in "Create Proof" (it says you should always copy @context) because this way of generating proofs is considered deprecated now

@hongminhee Yes, it should be able to verify proofs with injected @context. But it is not injected. Here' the Announce activity, for example:

These two actors are hosted on different servers, but they are actually the same actor:

My server merges them and displays as a single account in UI. I guess that means portable actors are working. The next step is implementing outbox forwarding, and with that I'll be able to demonstrate merging of objects and activities.
