@Zergling_man @Soy_Magnus Turns out the CPU didn't come with a heatsink :fail: so my days are pretty wide open.
-
@Zergling_man @Soy_Magnus Also I've got a computer to assemble either today or tomorrow, so just hit me up ASAP for that puzzle strike game and I'll get to that first.
-
@Zergling_man So having hit a snag I realized I completely forgot to ask what in particular you wanted me to look over. So far everything looks fine, and aside from the bank issue (which it looks like you're going to solve) I am not really seeing anything. Until I can play a game against myself (which you might want to add a "bot" or "2nd player" deck to the first players deck, in case of offline play) I can't really comment more.
-
@Zergling_man I'm mostly threadhopping at the moment. So yeah.
Might take me a while to dl though that SoaSE2 dl really made my internet stop brrrrring
-
@Zergling_man >THIS DOWNLOAD WASN'T SIGNED BY PAJEETS DOWNLOAD ANYWAY?
Yes, Firenigger. Download anyway.
God Firefox stop being gay.
-
@Zergling_man Just right off the bat the password screen is a little jarring. Might want to RNG it and then just print the hidden code and tell the user to copy-paste.
-
@Zergling_man If there's any way to modify I would do it. Unless there's a specific and good reason.
Also the bank screen cuts off before the very bottom row. So the only way to see what the chips to is to drag.
Finally, a help screen would be nice. I've never played puzzle strike before.

I wish the internet wasn't so gay.
-
@Zergling_man >I think it's related to monitor size? (But then it completely disrespects the currently active monitor anyway.)
I'm not sure, but the virtual monitor for this machine is set at 1600x900 iirc
>that's still TODO. I'm putting stuff in first.
Aight. I'll look up a summary and rule guide on the internet.
TBH a standard text box with copy-pasted text would do the job.
-
@Zergling_man >It's played with chips instead of cards because they're easier to shuffle.
>chips
>easier to shuffle than cards
I wonder if this guy couldn't figure out how to corner shuffle.
-
@Zergling_man I don't know what a ruffle shuffle is, but it's when you bend the corners and let one corner of one card down then another and so on until the deck is shuffled, then you just make the deck whole again.
Although your proposed method would work easier I suppose. Pain in the ass to get the "decks" back in one piece tho.
-
@Zergling_man >About the same as any other deckbuilder.
Debatable. I like the ruffle shuffle and am not bothered by it at all. I don't know why people even get deck shufflers.
Well unless the cards are made out of crap. But then that's a manufacturing problem.
-
@Zergling_man TBH the only games with decks I've played IRL in years is poker and Sorry!.
BTW Pachisi is better.
-
@Zergling_man No, none of these are deck builders. They are simply games with decks of cards.
Like not decks each person gets. Just it includes a deck of cards that is used.
-
@Zergling_man How do I make a deck? Is there a special place to put all the tokens and then shuffle?
-
@Zergling_man Night man. I will read over the rules and take a lookie loo. Any additional suggestions I'll forward.

@TeaTootler @p @graf @Hyperhidrosis >easily upgradable
I don't know how a normal motherboard setup is hard to upgrade. It's literally putting together legos at this point. I get the "it's too confusing speech" each time I try to convince my family to put one together. It boggles my mind
-
@p @TeaTootler @graf @Hyperhidrosis Is the uconsole for laptops? I just gave a cursory search this is the first I'm hearing about it tbh.
-
@p @TeaTootler @graf @Hyperhidrosis It is at least in theory possible to make a laptop with traditional computer parts. I tinkered with the idea but after derisive faggots on the internet shat on me over it I decided the world didn't need a modular laptop solution. And since I have no need for a laptop the idea died for a little under a decade.
Then RaspPis came out and I learned about other SBCs and now I don't even see the point. Get a small battery and a Pi or something if you want a DIY laptop.
And if you need anything beefier, just cobble together an enclosure for a normal computer, attach a handle and plug it into the literally millions of available sockets in whatever country your in. Simple really.
Though I gotta be honest the DevTerm looks great. Giving me flashbacks to the flip and slide phone days.
-
@p @TeaTootler @graf @Hyperhidrosis Those pictures are making me cream my pants. Staaaaahp!
Also you don't need a 3D printer or anything fancy if you're willing to settle for chinkware. I have a small keyboard myself and plenty more varieties to choose from out there.
