You don't need a fancy education to create things, some people are surprised that I'm a thrice high school dropout.

But dropping out from high school doesn't mean I'm stupid, it just means that the schooling environment was shit, I've learned programming on my own.

I have no fancy education to speak of, haven't done high school, university, etc.

I can't for the life of me do equations, but I can write code, and I can make sense of maths expressed as code.

In fact, some of the messiest, most unmaintainable code I've had to manage has been written by people who have all those fancy university degrees and certificates.

So I personally see the entire system built around having a diploma stupid, it's difficult to get a job in games in Denmark without one, though.

@azakasekai afaik threads is/will only selectively federate with specific instances, so chances are low that it will happen outside of the massive instances.

I’ve officially been in a car “crash” today… car slipped off road and spun and ended in a ditch, spent 10 minutes pushing it out.

Nobody got hurt and the car is fine too, but definitely thought I’d die for a moment…
