@jason this is because we updated the firmware for the keyboard in the middle of production and also reflected this change in the handbook, but i still need to post the updater for the keyboard fw. the change was made because we found it more ergonomic to have the scroll button directly next to the trackball.

I have published a System Controller firmware update and a script to conveniently update it from within Pocket Reform, and looking for beta testers: https://community.mnt.re/t/pocket-reform-system-controller-update-looking-for-testers/2277

This update should make Pocket Reform compatible with more USB-C PD chargers and decrease idle power usage of the RP2040 somewhat.

Two days ago I deployed a fix for the display not coming on in initramfs (early boot) on MNT Pocket Reform resulting in issues if an encrypted boot drive had to be unlocked or other disk issues. This fix is available as a linux-image upgrade through `apt upgrade`.

I've seen in an unboxing video that the packaging for the poster we ship with Hyper Pocket Reform did not withstand the forces of shipping unharmed and the poster was somewhat creased. I just ordered stronger containers for the posters with express shipping and we will repack the current batch early next week to prevent more creasing from happening. Sorry for the inconvenience! If your poster is in a bad shape, we have some spares that we can mail out as replacements.

idea for MNT Pocket Reform backplate:
—made from transparent PCB core
—geometry like existing one, but heatsink copper plane gets a lot of square/other interesting geometry holes so you can see through and see the blinkenlights inside (esp rcm4-bpi has a lot)
—some rocket science EE could help make integrated PCB antennas in the backplate for wifi/lte/gps
