Magnus Hirschfeld was a German physician and sexologist who lived from 1868 to 1935. He was a prominent figure in the early 20th century who advocated for LGBTQ+ rights and conducted extensive research on human sexuality.
Hirschfeld is known for coining the term "transvestite" and establishing the first known organization to advocate for the rights of homosexual and transgender individuals, called the Scientific-Humanitarian Committee. He believed in the importance of understanding and accepting diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
Hirschfeld's work extended beyond activism. He founded the Institute for Sexual Research in Berlin, which became a leading center for studying and educating the public about sexuality. The institute provided medical services, counseling, and educational resources for LGBTQ+ individuals. -

Genderheretics.xyz works the same way as Mastodon: we're linked with other "instances" or sites across something we call the Fediverse. You can talk to other people on other instances, and they can talk to you.
Some instances have strict rules about what you can and cannot say, others are a wild-ass free for all.
And yes, unfortunately, some instances allow their users to say the most obnoxious, odious and vile things, such as anti-semetism, racism, holocaust denial, etc.
There are even a few instances that allow child pornography.
As far as I know, nobody on Genderheretics.xyz is racist or antisemitic and if they are I remove them from my instance as soon as they're discovered. I also won't stand for kiddie porn, or even regular porn.
If you come across someone or something you find offensive, you have two choices: you can either block that individual or you can block the domain instance they're from entirely so you won't have to hear from anyone originating from there. -
