@suricrasia A somewhat more esoteric application that I'm really curious how it'll develop is automatic theorem proving. This is kind of a subset of the QA thing I guess, but with different tools.
There isn't nearly as much training data for developing Coq tactics and proof scripts as there is for writing JavaScript or Python, but unlike those languages, you'd be certain that the generated code (however unreadable) fits the spec. (barring the AI finding holes in the underlying logic)

@suricrasia ...now that I write it down, a Red Queen's Race co-evolution scenario seems most likely.

There was an interesting episode of uuh some podcast I'm too lazy to look up right now where the guest talked about how US defense would benefit from closing all security holes, because that would deny other states access to the cyber battleground and since the US has major advantages in industry and meatspace military, they would come out on top.

What's the design brief for Hearth?

Most crucially for the browser to function it needs to offer is an addressbar. Also a link to a configuration form!

The biggest feature it needs to offer is a bookmarking. Also it'd be very appropriate on a TV to have a builtin feedreader!

I like "most frequently encountered unvisited links" as a personalized recommendations hueristic.

You can incorporate history, don't need to.

A griddy UI would be easiest to navigate. Text entry should be avoided.

Haphaestus's UI will be spread across 4 components:

* "Haphaestus" itself will include a tree-history UI, in a seperate mode from page rendering. As well as thin headers/footers for page metadata.
* "Bureaucromancy" will render webforms to menus.
* "Hearth" will be some browser-chrome at the root of that tree-history. Also responds to record/red button to bookmark the current page.
* "TVle" it's packaged alongside viewers for other common resource types.

UI mockups desired, especially in HTML!

There's dataheaders determining which opcodes to use on Cora53, Cora57, Cora72, Cora73, XGene1, & other ARM CPUs.

On Cora53 it LibMPN implements special variations of it's comparison routines.

As mentioned yesterday, MPF calls down to MPN. Also: This may be implemented differently for different CPU architectures.

* Various other routines are implemented similarly, though they have a couple "lo" codepaths necessitating altering the examination of the bits. I won't continue going over them.
* This includes popcount, with a divide&conquer coldpath.
* There's division on digits implemented using multiplication.
* Tightloop specifically for pi (judging by name) with even tighter trailing loop.

All these years later, I just can’t get comfortable with a computer platform where you can write code for it, but the vendor gets to say whether or not people can run your code.

I thought that was wrong the day it was announced and still do.

The money says I’m in a minority. I’m comfortable with that.

The Web remains the only platform without a proprietor. Treasure it.

I did something cool but untraditional knowing in the back of my mind that App Review might reject it.

And they did making my effort wasted and ensuring I don't try drawing outside the lines for a long time.

Nothing discourages thinking different like Apple App Review.
