@Kyonko802 @bronzeagetruecel yes, clearly I misunderstood because you were talking about pedos and clearly loli isn't a major way for pedos to use anime as a smokescreen, they are totally unrelated.

I also never said that anime causes you to troon out, however the anime crowd does shield for troons, the same way that they shield for pedos with loli etc.

If the anime crowd didn't want to get lumped in with pedos, then they would be wise to distance themselves from shit like loli. Maybe then you would get more support.

@Kyonko802 @bronzeagetruecel I understand your point just fine: you are saying that the pedos are using the animes as shield to forward their agenda, and that the kiwis are attack the animes in response. I don't disagree with that, but still the animes don't self police and they talk about engaging with anime on a meaninful level, but in the end it's just mindless consumerism in 99% of cases.

Like give me an example of understanding an anime on a deeper level and I'll be willing to revise my estimate, but it still doesn't change the fact that most anime avatars watch it for lewd content, and they don't self police their groups to remove them.

The reason it's relevant to the original post is because the OP said "people into loli shit don't like anime and don't understand it other than for their for deviant interests", my point is that most people watching most media don't understand what it is about and just watch it for pretty picture. go brr

I bring up utena because it has a pretty strong consistent theme that isn't just spelled out. Eva can also work, but it's overdone at this point, and the message just boils down to touch grass, hang out with your friends, people can be shitty but you have to deal with it.
