So, now we’ve got police going to the wrong address and shooting innocent civilians, and white civilians shooting innocent black kids who ring the wrong doorbell. The persistence of hate narratives and shoot-first-ask-questions-later knee jerk reactions show how absolutely dangerous an #NRA fueled gun society is. Their answer: More Guns! Because “guns aren’t the problem. People are the problem.” My question: So why in God’s name would you give guns to the problem?

@freemo @stormy178 With children being shot, sir, you should be replying that guns should be more regulated. Demand BETTER RESTRICTIONS and background checks. Your knee jerk reaction “Don’t ya take my guns” is a sad and tired old record. It shows lack of compassion and refusal to see the crisis that we are truly in right now. For those of you who are Christian, I always wonder WWJD? If he angrily threw out the money changers imagine what he would do to the NRA.

@aral AMEN. And there is incredible value in deeply interacting with 10 people who then interact with 10 others whether on social media or in real life, who then go on to share the seeds we plant. As the sister of the Central Park Birder and the one who posted the video that went viral to the tune of 50 million worldwide, I know the power and draw of going viral. But instead of creating one potted plant choked with viral roots, we can create groves that grow into healthy forests.
