    loophole: if you know it's coming you can migrate every account. this is expensive and fraught with errors.

    loophole 2 (future): eventually ap ids may not be tied to the domain.

    The original reason for its existence was "what if there was a super charged Commodore 64 that can do x, y and z? wouldn't that be cool well I'm making it."

    This is a niche product. Arguably for what it is it is way too expensive but it's still interesting. most of the complaints on the blog post are that it's pointless because you can use a MiSTeR and that what they said it was "for" has changed over time. I don't find these very compelling, a lot of things don't have a "point" they're made for tinkering and that's good enough. As far as the purpose changing over time, I agree that's stupid but it doesn't make the hardware less cool.

    I have a bunch of electronic trinkets that I keep in a closet and periodically drag out and tinker with after a long time. I don't think I'm a genius this is literally just how I keep from going insane after working on really hard stuff at my day job. I love learning how things work like NFC, Smart Cards, Arduino control with sensors, stuff like that.

    I used to do Dreamcast stuff and I set it aside for over a decade but I kept all the hardware, and recently picked it up again for a few days.

    @mint @Inginsub @0 The reason I got one is because it's like a commodore 64 but souped up, and it doesn't have the annoying limitations of the C64 like extremely slow load times or exploding power supply.
