@InceptionState @Wormwood @fishsticks @synapsid Anyone who is capable of understanding the colored arrow example from that greentext is capable of comprehending a working definition of category theory.
They might not have enough intelligence to practice it effectively, but they can at least understand what it does. They know what they don't know.
That's an entirely different situation than the 85s with regards to conditional hypotheticals. Not only can they not calculate them they can't even understand what it would mean to do so. They don't know and can't comprehend what they don't know. -

@fishsticks @Wormwood @synapsid What's always bothered me about that greentext is not knowing what mental constructs require, for example, a 500 IQ.
Possibility 1: They exist and we'll never know what they are.
Possibility 2: They exist but we can deduce them and reason about them even though we can't experience them directly.
Possibility 3: They don't exist. The categories of thoughts available at IQ 100 approximate some intrinsic limit to information processing that can not be overcome in this universe. Higher IQs only increase speed, accuracy, working memory, etc. -

@WashedOutGundamPilot @DW2 Scott Adams started making Dilbert just as software developer was becoming one of the most common professions in the US.
Somebody was going to fill that niche, and he just so happened to drop out of actually being a programmer to make cartoons about being one instead at the right time. -
