@lain HG Wells' _The Sleeper Awakes_ basically has this premise. Protagonist is cryogenically frozen and awakens in the future to find a religion based around him and the enormous wealth generated by his compound interest.

@coolboymew DEI is just free marketing for tech projects. I have to deal with this kind of shit at work all the time. They hosted a session called "I Can't Say Anything Anymore" recently which sounded like a bear trap in meeting form.

Got a PSP last month because I saw it in a charity shop window for a good price (cheaper than the best deals on ebay). It also came with a copy of Ridger Racer 2 which is amazing like every other game in that series.

Trying to play Metal Gear Acid at the moment and it is kicking my arse. Spent 5 attempts trying to do the first proper level then yolo'd it and killed half with enemies with a sword. I did not realise how much I relied on the tranquiliser in the mainline games!

@coolboymew One of my friends has read the manga and was suggesting for ages that the anime was about to get rough. Season 2 has been great though.

@coolboymew JJK season 1 was some of the best shonen I've ever seen. S2 started a bit slow but the last few episodes have been mint.

@camedei456 @Zerglingman @coolboymew It's more the companies than journalism. Sony have handed out a dictat to developers to force them to cut sexual content from games being produced in Japan. Strangely enough Nintendo is now the company publishing games with the most uncensored anime influences.

@coolboymew Madness. I suspect the only reason that Konami didn't censor the MGS games for the re-release was that they were being so lazy porting it. Ditto the questionable FeMC romance option in P3P being preserved in the re-release recently.

Sad to see the censorship come to videogames. It started with TV shows a long time ago with shows like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia cutting and completely deleting some old episodes from streaming 🙄
